Stocked with standouts from the 2022 NCAA World Series and national Top 25-35 squads, the 22nd annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Preseason All-America teams feature the best of college baseball for the coming campaign.

The Dick Howser Trophy Committee, in conjunction with the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce has released the list of semifinalists for the 2022 Dick Howser Trophy. The most prestigious award in college baseball is given to the top player based on two rounds of national voting.

Vanderbilt remains No. 1 for a second week after Texas ruled the first four NCBWA national surveys.

Preseason No. 1 Texas ended a four-poll reign at No. 1 while Vanderbilt edged ahead for the top spot. Ole Miss remains second nationally again this week.

Vanderbilt teammates highlights quintet of lauded players

A pair of seniors, two juniors and a pair of sophomores are among the six finalists for the 15th annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award, members of the association announced Thursday afternoon.

David Price, the most prolific student-athlete in Vanderbilt baseball history and one of the top hurlers in Southeastern Conference annals, has been selected as the 21st annual recipient of the Dick Howser Trophy.
