Finalists revealed for 2023 NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award

Ten relievers have been named finalists for the 18th NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award, given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I Baseball.

Five of college baseball's top relief specialists have been selected as finalists for the seventh annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award, the NCBWA announced Tuesday.

NCBWA NAMES NATIONAL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its National Hitter and Pitcher of the Week awards for the period ending April 29th. Kent State junior first baseman John VanBenschoten earned Hitter of the Week honors, while Todd Pennington of Southeast Missouri State received the Pitcher of the Week award. The NCBWA Board reviews candidates from each Division I Conference each week and names winners each Tuesday throughout the season.
