Tennessee (26-2) tops NCBWA Division I Poll

DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 28th year with its 2025 weekly surveys.

Tennessee overtook Arkansas at No. 1 after the Razorbacks held that position in the March 24 poll. The Volunteers, Arkansas and Georgia all swept Southeastern Conference opponents last week as UT capped a 4-0 week. Florida State of the Atlantic Coast Conference climbed two places to No. 4 ahead of LSU at No. 5.

Some of the other big movers from week seven to week eight were Alabama from No. 11 to 8, UC Irvine from No. 21 to 11, Ole Miss from No. 20 to 13 and UCLA from No. 25 to 14, among others.

There have been eight conferences and independents (eight again this week) represented in the first eight standings of 2025, and there were 12 different conferences in the 2024 NCBWA polls

The 2025 poll voters come from among 33 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. The ’25 season features 307 NCAA Division I baseball-playing schools, and for more information or to join the NCBWA, please go to ncbwa.com.
