DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 28th year with its 2025 weekly surveys.
Tennessee, of the Southeastern Conference, remains at No. 1 for the third week in a row after sweeping its four games last week. The Volunteers of coach, Tony Vitello, now have won 22 games in succession since capturing the 2024 NCAA World Series and 26 of their last 27 games since June 2024. LSU remains No. 2 in the survey ahead of Arkansas, Florida State and Georgia.
Some of the big movers from week five to week six were Kansas from receiving votes to No. 22, Stanford from receiving votes to No. 23, Oklahoma from No. 16 to 12 and Alabama from No. 20 to 16.
There have been eight conferences and independents (eight again this week) represented in the first six standings of 2025, and there were 12 different conferences in the 2024 NCBWA polls.
The 2025 poll voters come from among 33 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. The ’25 season features 307 NCAA Division I baseball-playing schools, and for more information or to join the NCBWA, please go to www.ncbwa.com.
