DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 28th year with its 2025 weekly surveys.
Tennessee remains as No. 1 for the second week in succession as LSU moved up two places to No. 2. Rounding out this week’s top five are North Carolina, Florida State and Arkansas.
Some of the big movers from Week Four to Week Five were Texas from No. 15 to 10, Oklahoma from No. 19 to 16, Alabama from No. 23 to 20 and Ole Miss from receiving votes to its first time in this year’s poll at No. 23.
There have been eight conferences (eight again this week) represented in the first five standings of 2025, and there were 12 different conferences in the 2024 NCBWA polls.
The 2025 poll voters come from among 33 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation, and the ’25 season features 307 NCAA Division I baseball-playing schools. For more information or to join the NCBWA, please go to ncbwa.com.

Founded in 1962, the NCBWA is dedicated to the advancement of college baseball. Membership is open to writers, broadcasters and publicists of the sport. Members receive a membership card, directory, newsletter updates and official votes in the Dick Howser Trophy, Regional Players of the Year and NCBWA All-America voting. The NCBWA also sponsors Division I Players of the Week, the Stopper of the Year, and publication and writing contests.
