DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 28th year with its 2025 weekly surveys.
The Texas A&M Aggies (3-0) hold down the top spot for the second week in succession, while defending NCAA champion Tennessee remains second among the top-25 teams.
The Aggies swept Elon to start the season, while Tennessee disposed of visiting Hofstra in three run-rule contests to maintain their Nos. 1 and 2 positions.
Several teams moved up two places in the first survey of the ’25 season, and the Southeastern Conference kept 10 teams in the Top 25 ahead of the Atlantic Coast Conference with seven representatives, including six among the top-15 entries.
There have been eight conferences (eight again this week) represented in the first two standings of 2025, and there were 12 different conferences in the 2024 NCBWA polls.
The 2025 poll voters come from among 33 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. The ’25 season features 303 NCAA Division I baseball-playing schools.
