St. Joseph's Ziegler headlines USBWA's women's weekly honors

For the period through Sunday, Feb. 9, the five Ann Meyers Drysdale national women’s honorees of the week are Oklahoma State guard Anna Gret Asi; Fairfield roadrunner Raiana Brown; USC forward Kiki Iriafen; NC State guard Aziaha James; Saint Joseph’s forward Laura Ziegler. The Tamika Catchings National Freshman of the Week is Duke forward Toby Fournier and and the National Team of the Week is Texas.

South Dakota's Larkins headlines USBWA's women's weekly honors

For the period through Sunday, Jan. 12, the five Ann Meyers Drysdale national women’s honorees of the week are Navy guard Zanai Barnett-Gay; Oklahoma State guard Stailee Heard; Notre Dame forward Liatu King; South Dakota guard Grace Larkins; USC guard JuJu Watkins; the Tamika Catchings National Freshman of the Week is Quinnipiac guard Gal Raviv; and the National Team of the Week is South Carolina.

MACK, BUECKERS ARE USBWA WOMEN'S NATIONAL, FRESHMAN PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

For the season's sixth honorees for games ending Sunday, Feb. 7, the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Ann Meyers Drysdale Women's National Player of the Week goes to Oklahoma State forward Natasha Mack, the organization's Tamika Catchings women's freshman player honor goes once more to Connecticut guard Paige Bueckers, and our USBWA women's team citation goes to Texas A&M for performances in the voting period.

MACK, JONES ARE USBWA WOMEN'S NATIONAL, FRESHMAN PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

For the season's eighth U.S. Basketball Writers Association Ann Meyers Drysdale Women's National Player of the Week and the organization's Tamika Catchings women's freshman player honor, Oklahoma State forward Natasha Mack is national player while Oregon State forward Taylor Jones has been chosen for the freshman citation after each helped their teams go unbeaten ending the week of Sunday, Jan. 5.

USBWA NAMES 2005 OSCAR ROBERTSON TROPHY FINALISTS

Three backcourt mates from Illinois and teammates from both Duke and North Carolina headline the list of 16 finalists for the 2005 Oscar Robertson Trophy, the player of the year award presented by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.
