LEE, WASHINGTON ARE USBWA WOMEN'S NATIONAL, FRESHMAN PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
For the season's fifth honorees for games ending Sunday, Jan. 2, the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Ann Meyers Drysdale Women's National Player of the Week goes to Kansas State center Ayoka Lee, the organization's Tamika Catchings women's freshman player honor goes to Oklahoma guard Kelbie Washington and the USBWA women's team citation goes to Missouri.
MISSOURI'S HAITH WINS 2011-12 HENRY IBA COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD
Missouri's Frank Haith is the 2011-12 recipient of the Henry Iba Coach of the Year Award, presented annually to the National Coach of the Year by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.
USBWA NAMES FINALISTS FOR 2009 RAWLINGS HENRY IBA AWARD
The U.S. Basketball Writers Association has announced finalists for the 2009 Rawlings Henry Iba Award, to be presented to the association's national coach of the year.
