USC's Watkins wins 2024-25 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award

A prolific scorer who led her USC Trojans to their first conference title since 1994 in their first season in the Big Ten Conference, JuJu Watkins has been selected as the winner of the 2024-25 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award as the national player of the year by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.

South Carolina's Boston wins 2021-22 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award

In her third All-America season with a record-setting double-double streak and Southeastern Conference Player and Defensive Player of the Year accolades, South Carolina forward Aliyah Boston is the winner of the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award as the National Player of the Year, as selected by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.

USBWA, PytchBlack unveil new awards branding marks

PytchBlack, a Fort Worth-based creative design firm, is proud to unveil new brand marks created by the agency that will debut at the Final Four of the NCAA Division I men's and women's basketball tournaments. The marks, developed on behalf of the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA), will visually represent some of the most prestigious awards in college basketball: the Oscar Robertson Trophy and Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, presented to the association's national players of the year; as well as logos representing the All-America and All-District teams for this year’s basketball season.

USBWA ANNOUNCES 2019-20 WOMEN'S HONORS

The U.S. Basketball Writers Association is proud to announce the winners of its three major individual women's awards. The honorees include the NCAA's all-time triple-doubles leader, the coach of the top-ranked team and a freshman sensation off the All-Southeastern Conference team. Sabrina Ionescu of Oregon is the winner of the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award as the National Player of the Year, Dawn Staley of South Carolina earned the National Coach of the Year Award and Aliyah Boston of South Carolina is the Tamika Catchings Award winner as the National Freshman Player of the Year, based on voting by the USBWA membership. Longtime USBWA representative Mel Greenberg coordinated the voting and selection process.

The U.S. Basketball Writers Association will honor the nation's top men's and women's players and coaches at the College Basketball Awards Dinner, hosted by the Missouri Athletic Club on April 13 in St. Louis.

USBWA UNVEILS ANN MEYERS DRYSDALE AWARD WATCH LIST

The U.S. Basketball Writers Association has selected 35 outstanding players for its 2019-20 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Watch List. Members of the association's board of directors chose the players to be included on the list as contenders for the National Player of the Year.
