UCONN'S BUECKERS WINS 2020-21 ANN MEYERS DRYSDALE AWARD

Freshman Paige Bueckers, the Big East Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year as the leading scorer for the UConn Huskies, has been selected as the winner of the 2020-21 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award as the USBWA National Player of the Year.

IOWA'S GARZA WINS 2020-21 OSCAR ROBERTSON TROPHY

Iowa center Luka Garza, a unanimous All-America selection and the nation's leader in total points and field goals made, has been named the winner of the Oscar Robertson Trophy as the National Player of the Year in voting by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. The senior from Washington, D.C., was honored in a virtual presentation in conjunction with the men's Final Four in Indianapolis.

MICHIGAN'S HOWARD WINS HENRY IBA AWARD

Michigan second-year head coach Juwan Howard, who led the Wolverines to a Big Ten regular-season championship and a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, has been named the winner of the 2020-21 Henry Iba Award, given annually by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association to its national coach of the year.

The U.S. Basketball Writers Association has released its 2020-21 Men's All-District Teams, based on voting from its national membership of 900-plus. The USBWA has selected All-District teams since the 1956-57 season, its founding year.

For the season's seventh honorees for games ending Sunday, Feb. 14, the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Ann Meyers Drysdale Women's National Player of the Week goes to Connecticut guard Paige Bueckers, who also shares the organization's Tamika Catchings women's freshman player honor with Iowa freshman guard Caitlin Clark, and our USBWA women's team citation goes to Connecticut for performances in the voting period.

CARTIER, EWING ARE USBWA DIVISION II NATIONAL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Patrick Cartier of Hillsdale College (Hillsdale, Mich.) and Zyaire Ewing of Delta State University (Cleveland, Miss.) were named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Division II National Players of the Week for the week ending Feb. 7.

For the season's sixth honorees for games ending Sunday, Feb. 7, the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Ann Meyers Drysdale Women's National Player of the Week goes to Oklahoma State forward Natasha Mack, the organization's Tamika Catchings women's freshman player honor goes once more to Connecticut guard Paige Bueckers, and our USBWA women's team citation goes to Texas A&M for performances in the voting period.

USBWA SUSPENDS DIVISION III PLAYER OF THE WEEK PROGRAMS

Due to the majority of Division III schools canceling their men's and women's basketball seasons in 2020-21, as well as the constant schedule changes due to Covid-19 protocols, the USBWA Division III National Player of the Week Committee has officially decided to forego presenting the awards for the season.

VIRGINIA TECH'S ALUMA IS OSCAR ROBERTSON NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

The U.S. Basketball Writers Association has selected Virginia Tech forward Keve Aluma as its Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week for games ending the week of Sunday, Jan. 31.

MARTIN, RITZ ARE USBWA DIVISION II NATIONAL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Cam Martin of Missouri Southern State University (Joplin, Mo.) and Lilly Ritz of Wheeling University (Wheeling, W. Va.) were named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Division II National Players of the Week for the week ending Jan. 31.

DUNGEE, BUECKERS ARE USBWA WOMEN'S NATIONAL, FRESHMAN PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

For the season's fifth honorees for games ending Sunday, Jan. 31, the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Ann Meyers Drysdale Women's National Player of the Week goes to Arkansas guard Chelsea Dungee, the organization's Tamika Catchings women's freshman player honor goes again to Connecticut guard Paige Bueckers, and our USBWA women's team citation goes to Arkansas for performances in the voting period.

BAYLOR'S BUTLER IS OSCAR ROBERTSON NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
