USBWA ANNOUNCES 2010-11 WOMEN'S HONORS

The U.S. Basketball Writers Association has chosen the recipients of its 2010-11 women's postseason honors. Connecticut's Maya Moore is the National Player of the Year, while Baylor's Kim Mulkey is the National Coach of the Year and Baylor's Odyssey Sims is the National Freshman of the Year. All three selections will be honored at the USBWA Women's Awards Breakfast on Tues., April 5 in Indianapolis.

BYU'S FREDETTE WINS 2010-11 OSCAR ROBERTSON TROPHY

The U.S. Basketball Writers Association has selected BYU guard Jimmer Fredette as the winner of the 2010-11 Oscar Robertson Trophy, annually presented to the National Player of the Year.

NOTRE DAME'S BREY WINS 2011 HENRY IBA COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD

Notre Dame's Mike Brey, the Big East Conference Coach of the Year, is the 2011 recipient of the Henry Iba Coach of the Year Award, presented annually to the National Coach of the Year by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.

USBWA NAMES 2010-11 MEN'S ALL-DISTRICT TEAMS

The U.S. Basketball Writers Association has released its 2010-11 Men's All-District Teams, based on voting from its national membership. There are nine regions from coast to coast and a player and coach of the year are selected in each. Following is the entire region-by-region listing:
