COLORADO MESA TOPS NCBWA DIVISION II POLL

PEMBROKE, N.C. (NCBWA) Albeit a rare tie in the No. 7 position, the top 10 in the NCBWA Division II Top 25 remained unchanged on Wednesday as Colorado Mesa stockpiled all but one first-place vote for the second-straight week to distance itself as the nation·s No. 1 team as the road to the NCAA postseason begins to come into view.

The Mavericks used a four-game home series sweep of New Mexico Highlands to stretch their win streak out to 18 games, while also padding their lead in the race for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference regular season title as well. Lee, which collected this weeks last available first-place nod, has now won eight games in a row thanks to a weekend home sweep of Mississippi College.

Two teams re-entered the national ranking this week after short hiatuses. Augustana (S.D.) is back in the NCBWA Division II Top 25 for the first time since March 24 (Week 6), while Valdosta State (No. 25) is among the nations top 25 teams for the first time since Week 4 (March 10). Trevecca Nazarene is included in the NCBWA Division II Top 25 for the first time since March 1, 2016 (Week 3).
