NORTH GREENVILLE TOPSNCBWA DIVISION II POLL

DALLAS (NCBWA) A seven-game win streak to end the regular season, as well as a perfect four-game run through the Conference Carolinas Tournament, was enough for North Greenville to reclaim the No. 1 spot in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Top 25 on Tuesday.

North Greenville will ride its 11-game win streak into NCAA postseason play as the Crusaders suit up to host the NCAA South Region I tournament in Tigerville, S.C. where they will showcase one of the nations top offenses at 9.3 runs scored per game, as well as a pitching staff that ranks seventh, nationally, with a 3.28 earned run average. Colorado Mesa, Tampa and Angelo State also picked up first-place votes this week as well.

Six teams entered or re-entered the top 25 this week, including Eckerd (No. 18) who will sport its first top-25 ranking in the 17-year history of the NCBWA poll. Minnesota State (No. 23) makes its season debut in the NCBWA Top 25, as does LIU Post who appears in the ranking for the first time since March 21, 2017 (Week 4).
