TEXAS IS NO. 1 IN NCBWA POLL

continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the eighth year with
its 2005 weekly surveys. Weekly polls will continue each Monday through

the hands of Baylor at the start of Big 12 play to win five of their last

and Tulane stayed put at second and third while Georgia Tech, last week's
top-ranked team, fell to No. 4. Florida, bolstered by a win at Florida State
and three-game sweep of Kentucky, rose six spots to a season-high No. 5
ranking.
